Music Fest North West! Day 4

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

The past 4 days, I’ve been seeing all of these great concerts in Portland. Today is the last day… I don’t know how my ears can take it! The ringing wont stop! But that’s part of the experience, right? The 4-day wrist band was 60$ but my friend Seth and I got ours $20 cheaper, so we’re all giggly about that! Lol. There hasn’t been much moshing… The people attending have been farely calm. Though last night, when we went to see The Get Up Kids there was some crowd surfing :D And i got a couple elbows to the temple AND I even lost my shoe! Thank goodness the band was punk and not HEAVY DEATH METAL cuz… I don’t think I would’ve found my shoe then! And it made it a little more fun cuz we went with this really cool girl from Salem named Lauren.  She showed us this sweet little restaurant called the Roxy… apparently, they make the best french toast in Portland! [ I thought they were alright ;) ]  I don’t remember the last time I had french toast at 1 in the morning haha!

So anyhow, today’s show is going to be played by the pretty wicked cool “Modest Mouse”! It’s going to be sweet… playing at the Crystal Ball Room, which is such a gorgeous theater! Wish me good fortune to not get killed tonight :P Oh and you guys should check out this song by Modest Mouse right here -> Modest MouseFloat On

Hey all! Apologies for my absence in the updating of my blog… Life has been interestingly busy enough to keep my mind and myself busy to where I honestly found no interest in updating this blog… Though, returning to it had made me miss it. So I had figured, the last post I created was posted about 4 months ago! So, what has my life been like in the past 120 days? Hmm… I guess the most eventful thing that has occurred is, of course, my graduating of high school (though at this point I’ve been out for about 3 months now)! But, I still look at it with a grin. So, here’s to, my accomplishment in completing my high-school education, my future, and many good decisions and events to come!

Special thanks to my immediate family, Andres Rivera, Patrick and Roselin Gallamore, and the Amae family for being part of that exciting time :)
